The Lighthouse Station
- The first lighthouse beam at Lindesnes was lit in 1656
- This was the first lighthouse in Norway
- The lighthouse is located at Norway's southernmost mainland point
- From 1920 to 1987, the foghorn was in operation

Lindesnes Lighthouse Museum Foundation

Founded by the Norwegian Coastal Administration, Lindesnes Municipality, and Vest-Agder County Council in 1992

The purpose is to preserve the lighthouse station as a protected cultural heritage site

International Cooperation
Lindesnes Lighthouse Museum participates, together with Museum Vest and the Polish Maritime Museum in Gdansk, in an EEA project aimed at restoring the large Port Crane in Gdansk from 1444. The Lighthouse Museum's part of the project is the production of a film that will tell about the trade between Bergen and Gdansk throughout history. - In 1998, Vest-Agder County Council decided that Lindesnes Lighthouse should be the county's millennium site
